Which is the best University in the world to study engineering of petroleum and/or gas (oil engineering)?

I would get a degree in chemical engineering. You can work in the petroleum industry with such a degree and will have something to fall back on if or when the ';green movement'; completely eliminates the oil industry. The school you go to will make little difference in your pay or opportunity.Which is the best University in the world to study engineering of petroleum and/or gas (oil engineering)?
For petroleum or gas engineering, I would look at one of the Texas schools: The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A%26amp;M, or the University of Houston. They have tons of money focused on petroleum engineering, management, and other issues.

Rice also has a great chemical engineering program with some people who work on petroleum engineering.Which is the best University in the world to study engineering of petroleum and/or gas (oil engineering)?
I don't know about all that but the university of illinois is a great school for engineering majors.
MIT
