Oil and gas companies use both electronic and power engineers.

Some companies operating in the US are Exxon, Shell (US Shell not to be confused with Royal Dutch Shell), British Petroleum and many smaller companies.

There are also many service company like Baker Hughes but also companies that provide goods and services like control systems, equipment, generators systems, etc.Electrical engineer in Oil or Gas industry?
Everything is controlled by electronics so they all have EE's. You shouldn't have a problem.
