upgrade for chemical engineerIs there any courses or certificates for commissioning and start up engineer (chemical) in oil and gas field?
For starters, not all commissioning or start up engineers are chemical. Many are mechanical engineers. Much of the more difficult equipment involved in refineries and chemical plants are mechanical in nature therefore it is natural for mechanical engineers to be involved. I have even worked with at least one who was an electrical engineer.
Most of the ones I have worked with learned their craft by their experience working in operating plants and on construction assignments. I have never heard of any who were certified.
