With a truck that old, I would guess that it is low oil pressure. As a engine wears it creates oil clearances greater than the oil pump can handle at low engine speeds. Um.... sounds like it's time for an oil change. It's also possible that the oil pump is not working properly. Get it checked out as soon as possible.
